Former Van Tassell Man Dies Sept. 30

Edward H. Davis, 81, of Thermopolis, formerly of Van Tassell, died September 30 at Basin following a lingering illness. Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon from the Mortimore Chapel in Thermopolis with burial in Monument Hill cemetery.

Mr. Davis and his wife homesteaded eight miles south of Van Tassell in 1915 living there until 1943 when failing health forced them to sell the ranch. They have since resided in Thermopolis.

Survivors include his wife, one son, Vern E. of San Pablo, Calif.; a sister, Mrs. Georgia Anderson, Eagle Grove, Ia.; and a half brother, Bern Kingsley, Minona, Minn.
