Ida Roxina (Cross) Elvaker passed away June 16, 2018 at the age of 94 at the Niobrara Community Hospital. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tue., July 10, 2018 at the Lusk Cemetery.
Ida was born June 10, 1924 to Lee and Lydia Cross in Plankinton, South Dakota. She grew up in the Plankinton, South Dakota and Iroquois, South Dakota areas. Ida loved her animals and coffee. She would drink hot coffee in the morning and iced coffee in the afternoon.
In 1942 Ida married her first husband, Robert Irvin. They had four children: George, Michael, Shelly, and Patty. Later in 1956, Ida married Alvin Elvaker. They had one child, Norma.
In 1973, Ida moved to Gillette, Wyoming. She then moved to Lusk, Wyoming for the first time in 1978.
Ida is survived by her eldest son, George Irvin, of Manville, Wyoming; and youngest daughter, Norma (Mum Taz) Kahn of Gillette, Wyoming; grandchildren, great-grandchildren; great-great grandchildren; and her nieces and nephews.
Ida is preceded in death by her parents; brothers; Burt Cross, Donald Cross, Dale Cross, Lawrence Cross, Earl Cross and Johnny Cross; sisters: Phyllis Cross and Louise Cross; her husband Alvin Elvaker; daughter, Patty George; son Michael Irvin; and daughter Shelly Frye.
