A funeral service for Larry Albertus Eddy, 103, will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at the First Baptist Church in Lusk, Wyoming with Pastor Steve Kellett officiating. Graveside services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at the Douglas Park Cemetery in Douglas, Wyoming with Pastor Steve Kellett officiating.

Larry Eddy passed away Saturday, November 10, 2018 at the Memorial Hospital of Converse County in Douglas, with his family by his side.

Larry was born July 15, 1915 in Wessington Springs, South Dakota the son of Joseph Clayton and Charlotte Cora (Coleman) Eddy. When he was six months old Larry’s family moved to Niobrara County and that is where Larry has resided until his death.

Larry married Arlene S. Edison on June 12, 1938 in Hot Springs, South Dakota. They were married for 74 years. Larry worked on a rig for a while and also at the sale barn in Lusk but nothing would replace his love for ranching. Larry started the Niobrara REA and was on the board for several years and also served on the school board for Niobrara County.

Larry is survived by his children, Lois Moll of Cheyenne, Wyoming and Ivan Eddy of Keeline, Wyoming; grandchildren, John Eddy, Ann Wood, Karen Fortney, and Ronnie Moll; several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; and brother, Herbert Eddy.

Larry was preceded in death by his wife of 74 years, Arlene S. Eddy on December 12, 2012; daughter, Dona Lee Eddy on November 27, 1981; daughter-in-law, Patricia Ann Eddy on June 2, 1993; siblings, Leonard Eddy, Edgar Eddy, Emmet Eddy, Laura Phillips, Emma Rustad, and Lyle Eddy. Serving as pallbearers will be John Eddy, Kolby Eddy, Jeremy Wood, Justus Stull, Rick Fortney, and Randy Edison.

Friends and family may call at the funeral home Wednesday from 9:00 A.M. to 10:00 A.M. A memorial to the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family. Gorman Funeral Homes – Converse Chapel of Douglas are in charge of the arrangements. Condolences can be left for the family at
