Diane T. Dockery

The vigil service and rosary for Diane T. Dockery, 42, of Lusk was held at 7 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 5, 1992, in the Bader-Peet Mortuary Chapel in Lusk. The funeral liturgy was held at 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 6, at St. Leo's Catholic Church. It was celebrated by the Rev. Patrick Shea and the Rev. August Koeune. Burial was in the Lusk Cemetery.

Dockery died Thursday evening, Jan. 2, at the Niobrara County Memorial Hospital in Lusk. She was born May 10, 1949, in Alliance, Neb. The family moved to Lusk in 1956, and she graduated from Niobrara County High School in 1967.

She married Bill Dockery on July 27, 1967, in Lusk. She worked with her mother, Cathy Brillhart, in the management of the Fireside Inn and the Southside Cafe for 25 years.

She was a member of St. Leo's Catholic Church, and was very active in the Council of Catholic Women. She held all the offices, including two terms as president of the Lusk C.C.W. She also served as secretary of the Casper Deanery C.C.W. While her children were young, she taught C.C.D. classes.

She was preceded in death by her father, Norman Brillhart and by a step-sister, Karen Jenks.

Survivors include her husband, Bill, of Lusk; two sons, Brett William Dockery and Matthew Wayne Dockery; one daughter, Shayley Annette Dockery, all of the family home; one brother, Edward Rapp of Lusk; one sister, Lori Wilson of Lusk; her mother, Cathy Brillhart of Lusk; her maternal grandmother, Gertie Foley of Lusk; two half-sisters, Tonya Sauppe of Bremerton, Wash. and Roxanne Bayles of Vera, Okla.; one half-brother, Allan Brillhart of Bremerton, Wash.; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
