Fred O'Conner, Former Resident, Dies January 22

Fred LeRoy O'Conner, 74, former resident of Lusk, died January 22, at La Mesa, Calif., from injuries resulting from a car accident December 26. Funeral services were held January 25 at Greenwood Memorial Park at San Diego. Dr. John J. Barbour of the Central Congregational Church in La Mesa officiated.

Mr. O'Conner was born November 21, 1891, in Sioux County, Nebr. He lived a number of years in Lusk, selling his home to Mr. and Mrs. Ray Taylor in 1948, and moving to California.

Survivors include his wife, Olive, four daughters, Mesdames Dorothy Humbert, Wheatland; Mary A. Cameron, Buckeye, Ariz.; Ruth M. Wilson, Bakersfield, Calif.; Vearl J. Haynes, San Diego; two sons, Leroy O'Conner of La Mesa; and Frederick Thoelcke of Kennewick, Wash.; thirteen grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. One daughter, Doris Perry, preceded him in death.
