Richard Joseph Walsh

Memorial services were held for Richard Joseph Walsh, 32, December 31, 1987 at Joliffe Chapel in Fort Morgan, Colorado. The body was cremated. He died December 26, 1987 at Swedish Medical Center as a result of injuries suffered in a Dec. 1 accident.

Richard Joseph Walsh was born January 30, 1955 in Lusk. He spent his childhood on the family ranch here. He moved to Fort Morgan in 1969, and attended Fort Morgan High School. After high school he worked for area farmers and then in local oil fields. He was presently employed as a long-haul truck driver.

He took pleasure in guitar playing, singing and composing. His hobbies included skiing and motorcycle riding.

Survivors include his father, Maurice of Lusk; his mother Dorothy Walsh of Fort Morgan; one brother, Melvin of Pasco, WA; four sisters, Wilma Santoyo of Battle Mountain, NV, Norma Miller of Frederick, CO; Thelma Hanson of LaCrosse, WA, Wyoma Dalrymple of Thornton, CO and numerous nieces and nephews.
