Evelyn Mae Vollmer died Friday morning, July 12, 1985, at the home in Lusk. She was 58.

Mrs. Vollmer was born July 3, 1927, in Sunrise, the daughter of Archie and Jessie Liberty. She moved to Lance Creek with her family in 1930. She attended school there and was graduated from Manville High School in 1947. After attending beauty school in Casper she operated the Kut and Kurl Beauty Salon in Lusk. She also worked in the parts department at Vollmer Machine Shop for several years.

She and John Robert Vollmer were married July 4, 1947, at her parent's home in Lance Creek.

She is survived by her husband, Bob, of Lusk; a daughter, Cynthia Rathbun of Kennewick , Wash; a son, Milton of Duluth, Minn.; her parents, Archie and Jessie Liberty of Lusk; two brothers, Robert Liberty of Green River and George Liberty of Guernsey; five grandchildren, and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, George.

Mrs. Vollmer was an emergency medical technician for the Lusk/Niobrara Ambulance Service. She was a member of Does and St. George Episcopal Church of Lusk.

Memorial services were held Tuesday at Peet Mortuary Chapel in Lusk. Pastor Phillip King of Torrington officiated. Burial was in the Lusk Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Lander Training Center.
