Mrs. J. Overman Of Lance Creek Dies Saturday

Mrs. John Overman, 46, of Lance Creek died Saturday evening, June 4, shortly after 10 o'clock at the Spencer Hospital.

She had undergone surgery the previous Tuesday and seemed to be recuperating nicely until early Saturday morning when she took a decided turn for the worse and passed away that evening.

A daughter, Mrs. Gerald Wasserburger, died less than a month ago, on May 11.

For the past seven years Mr. and Mrs. Overman and family have made their home at Lance Creek where Mr. Overman is
employed by the Continental Oil Company.

Olevia Fay Overman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. F. Milligan of Grant City, Mo., was born October 4, 1902 at Oxford, Mo. On May 4, 1925 she was married to John Overman at Albany, Mo., and they are the parents of three daughters, Myrtle Wasserburger, deceased, and Mrs. Don Shahahan of Glenrock and Miss Betty Overman of the family home.

Mrs. Overman became a member of the Oxford Methodist Church at Oxford, Mo., in her youth and has remained faithful to her church throughout the years.

Funeral services were conducted from the Peet Chapel Tuesday afternoon, June 7, at 2:00 o'clock.

Rev. H. T. Clark, pastor of the Baptist Church, officiated and music was furnished by Mrs. H. J. Templeton and Mrs. A.F. DeCastro with Rex Yocum as accompanist.

The casket bearers were Harvey Overman, Austin Rush, A.D. Hale, A.B. Wells, Wm. J. Seymore and Henry Coon. Interment was made in the Lusk Cemetery.

Survivors besides her husband and two daughters are two grandchildren and six sisters: Mrs. Walter Pritchat, Grant City, Mo., Mrs. Roy Pankau, Grant City, Mo., Mrs. Ralph O'Dell, St. Joseph, Mo.; Mrs. C. E. Hilsabec of Skidmore, Mo.; Mrs. Lloyd Jobe, St. Louis, Mo.; and three brothers, A.A. Milligan, St. Joseph, Mo.; M.C. Milligan, Winside, Nebr., and John Milligan, Marysville, Mo.
