Elsie Christensen Killed Near Newcastle

Miss Elsie Christensen, daughter of Weston County commissioner John C. Christensen and his wife was instantly killed Oct. 23 when struck by a falling tree.

She was following a bulldozer driven by her brother Earl, who was making a fire guard around a forest fire north of Newcastle, when she was struck by an uprooted tree and instantly killed.

Miss Christensen was a niece of former governor Nels H. Smith and Mrs. Smith and was a former student of the University of Wyoming.

She is survived by her parents, her brother Earl and two sisters, Mrs. John D'Maico and Mrs. Wayne Morrison, both of Cheyenne.
