Graveside inurnment services for Ruth J. (Crinklaw) Stenger of San Antonio, Texas, formerly of Laramie, Wyo., will be 2 p.m. Friday, May 22, 2009 at the Lusk Cemetery, with Pastor Mark Lohr officiating. Mrs. Stenger passed away in San Antonio Jan. 18, 2009.

Ruth J. Stenger

Ruth J. Stenger, age 90, passed away January 18, 2009, at The Forum at Lincoln Heights in San Antonio, Texas . She was born July 13, 1918, in Hat Creek, WY . She attended the University of Wyoming and taught school in a one-room schoolhouse in Van Tassell, WY. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, John D. Stenger in 1995, three sisters and two brothers. She is survived by her son, Jim Stenger (wife, Charlene), grandsons, John Stenger (wife, Lori), Jimmy Stenger (daughter, Brianna), of San Antonio, granddaughter, Kim Haub (husband, Steve), and great grandchildren, Brent, Lindsay, and Daniel Haub of Mukilteo, WA. Ruth was a member of P.E.O. for 32 years and also of the Red Hat Society. The Stenger family wishes to express their gratitude to the staff at The Forum for their devoted care of Ruth. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that memorial donations in Ruth's name be made to the P.E.O. scholarship fund at Cottey College in Nevada, MO, (, or your favorite charity.
