Minerva Caroline Marrs was born in Edinburg, Johnson county, Indiana on February 24th, 1854. She was a student at Grinnell Seminary in Iowa and taught school. On April 2, 1874, she was united in marriage to Marcellus Hamilton Wilson at Newton, Jasper county, Iowa. Four children were born to this union: Francis H. living at home, Gertrude M. Daley of Chewelah, Wash., Raymond O. of Manville and Pearl, who died in childhood.

Mrs. Wilson, together with her husband united with the M. E. church shortly after their marriage, locating in the vicinity of Lusk where Mr. Wilson operated a sawmill and later a ranch. Her husband preceeded her out of this world June 20th, 1934. Mrs. Wilson died at her home Tuesday, July 7th, at 4 p.m. at the age of 82 years, 4 months and 13 days.

She leaves to mourn her loss two sons, one daughter, five grandchildren, nine great grand children and a host of friends.

She was a faithful wife, a loving and devoted mother and trusted her friends. Her life was a sweet poem fragrant with unselfish and untiring service. "Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord henceforth. Yea, saith the spirit, that they may rest from their labours, their works do follow them."
