Mary Elnor Hanson was born in Warren county, Iowa, May 24, 1877 and passed away July 30, 1939, at Lusk, Wyo. at the age of 62 years, two months, and six days. She married Oscar Westerman at Primgar, Iowa, July 30, 1894, her death occurring on her forty-fourth wedding anniversary.
Mrs. Westerman was the mother of five children, Mrs. Agnes Grapes of Van Tassell; Hugo Westerman of Leadville, Colo; Mrs. Pearl Patterson of Van Tassell; Mrs. Florence Cox of Denver, Colo. Her husband and son, Ross preceded her in death.
Mrs. Westerman is also survived by eleven grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Beulah Grapes of Van Tassell, several nieces, nephews, and cousin.
The Westerman family came to Wyoming in the year 1915, homesteading in Goshen county. She was loved and respected by all who knew her, and leaves a host of friends, besides relatives, to mourn her death.
