Chad Christian Bartow was born May 19, 1971, in Torrington, Wyoming, to Gene and Claudia Bartow and passed away May 12, 2018, at Vail Valley Medical Center, Vail, Colorado, following a short illness. Chad was raised in Lusk, Wyoming and attended Niobrara County schools, graduating from Niobrara County High School in 1989.
Throughout high school, he worked for Lala’s Grooming and learned much about animal grooming. He attended Casper College and graduated from the Denver Academy of Grooming in December of 1992. He moved to Vail, Colorado and opened Happy Tails Grooming where he quickly became well known throughout the Colorado area. Some people would even have their dogs flown in to be groomed by Chad. Throughout the past 27 years, he was able to share his love of animals with his many customers and friends.
Chad will be deeply missed by his parents, sister Keri (Royce) Thompson, brother Jamie Bartow (Darcy Latuseck), sister Kassi Bartow, nephews and niece, Kyle Thompson (Kevin Koerwitz), Kory Thompson, Jingui and Jungdae Bartow, and Cloe and Ryder Shepard, grandmother, Theresa (Vern) Modine, numerous aunts, uncles and cousins, his dearest friends Charlene, Cherish, Susan and so many more.
Memorials in Chad’s name may be made to the Gabriel Foundation, 39520 Co Rd 13, Elizabeth, CO 80107, thegabrielfoundation.org, for the lifetime care of his beautiful flock of birds or a humane society of the donor’s choice.
A celebration of Chad’s life will be held in Colorado at a later date.
