Charles Wentworth Commits Suicide

Charles Wentworth, age 74 years, ommitted suicide by hanging himself from a hay-rack near his home here, early Tuesday morning, June 18, about 12:30a.m.

Funeral services will be held at the Congregational church this (Thursday) afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. Rev. George Jenkins officiated.

Mr. Wentworth is said to have been in high spirits the day before he took the fatal step. The reason for the act is not know. He had attained the age of 74 years, 11 months, and 25 days.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Myrtle Mae Wentworth, and two daughters, Mrs. G.D. Murphy of Lusk and Mrs. V.C. Hughes of Flattop, and three stepdaughters, Mrs. Ed Finnegan, Mrs. Ed Monroe, and Myrie Keelen, all of Wisconsin.

He was born at Parafarville, Wisconsin, on June 23, 1860. He has been in the lumber industry for many years and until the last 20 years has been farming in this vicinity.

The pallbearers were Lawrence Moore, Alf and Aaron Lincoln, John Hall, D.A. Shoopmman and Kenneth Hughes.
