Doris Crowley

Funeral services for Doris Crowley, age 70, were held at 2:00 P.M. Monday at the Bader Funeral Home in Lusk. Burial will follow in the Lusk Cemetery.

Doris died Wednesday, January 7, 1998, at the Goshen Community Hospital in Torrington, Wyoming. She was born August 20, 1927 at Alliance, Nebraska, the daughter of Carlton and Sylvia Taylor.

Doris's occupations were many. She was Director of the first Headstart Program in Lusk, which she prized the most. After raising her family, Doris went back to college. Her last employment was a bartender which she seemed to enjoy. Doris was a winning bartender at this with first place in the Lusk Area Ugliest and Sexiest Bartender contest which was held to help fight Multiple Sclerosis. Doris was a 56 year member of the First Baptist Church of Lusk.

She was preceded in death by her father, Carlton W. Taylor and an infant son, William Jack Crowley.

Survivors include her three sons, Gary, Larry, and Russ Crowley; one sister Marian Woods; her mother Sylvia Brixus and her husband Pete of Alliance, Nebraska; three brothers, Casper, Paul and Jack; four grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
