May Ruth Earickson

A memorial service for May Ruth Earickson, of Loveland, Colo., will be held at St. George's Episcopal Church in Lusk on Monday, Oct. 25, 1999, 1:30 p.m. Interment will follow at Lusk Cemetery. Cremation has taken place.

May Ruth Earickson died Oct. 4, 1999.

May Ruth and her twin sister June were born March 21, 1910, the daughters of John and Louise Pendray, on a homestead in western Nebraska.

May married Jack Magoon in 1935 in Chadron, Neb., and they lived on a ranch in Wyoming. Jack died in 1969.

She attended college at the University of Wyoming and then went into nurse's training, graduating in 1933 as a registered nurse from St. Luke's Hospital in Denver. She practiced nursing from 1933 until 1973 in Wyoming and Colorado.

She moved to Loveland in 1970, and in 1973 she married Robert R. Earickson. Robert died in 1983.

She was a member of St. George's Episcopal Church in Lusk.

She is survived by two sons, Bruce Magoon of Albuquerque, N. M., and Terry Magoon of Colorado, one daughter Lynn Schwartz of Big Springs, Neb., and grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. George's Episcopal Church.

Kibbey-Fishburn Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
