John James East, a Former resident, dies

Graveside services for John James East, 76, a former Lusk and Lance Creek resident who died June 18 were held at the Evergreen Memorial Park, McMinnville, Ore., June 23.

Mr. East was born January 13, 1899 at Omaha, Nebr., and spent his boyhood and went to school in Nebraska. He came to Wyoming as a cowpoke and married. Mrs. East died March 25, 1964. The family moved to McMinville in 1942 where they have lived since. He was a carpenter and was a member of Elks Lodge No. 1283.

He is survived by three daughters Peggy Balk, Beaverton, Ore., Arlene East, Germany, and Linda Staples of Gresham, Ore., and five grandchildren.
