Billy Gene Ferris

Billy Gene Ferris died Aug. 2 at National City, Calif. services were held at the Church of Joy at Chula Vista, Calif. with Rev. Mike Beyer officiating.

Committal was at Glen Abbey in Chula Vista.

He was born Feb. 24, 1938 in Lusk to Arthur P. and Gladys May (Walts) Ferris.

He attended school in Manville and Lusk.

He joined the Navy in 1956 and part of the time was spent in the Philippines.

He married Esperanza Garcia and would have been married forty years this month.

They made their home in National City where he worked as an interior/exterior building decorator and as a real estate inspector.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, James and Robert; one sister, Carol Ann and granddaughter, Dana.

Survivors include his wife; two sons and daughters-in-law, Daniel and Diane, Robert and Jane; five grandchildren, two brothers, Clifford of Lusk and Lawrence of Torrington; two sisters, Elsie Largent of Glasgow, Ky. and Mary Tschacher of Manville.
