The graveside service for Leao Kirlin was June 14 at the Lusk Cemetery. Kirlin died June 10 in Salt Lake City following a short illness.

He was born Sept. 28, 1898, in Fontanelle, Iowa, to Archie and Gertrude Warner Kirlin. He married Irma Hargrove May 29, 1945 in Laramie. Irma was a former teacher in Niobrara County.

The new Evanston High School vocational building was named for him this year. He had taught at the high school for many years, and retired in 1961. A member of the Retired Teachers Association, he was also actively associated with the Presbyterian Church.

He is survived by his wife of Evanston; one son, Carl, of Rock Springs, one daughter, Mrs. Hermann (Lorretta) DeYoung, of Hartley, Iowa; four brothers, Lyman and Kenneth of Greenfield, Iowa; S. Warner of Bettendorf, Iowa and Vernon of Mason City, Iowa; three sisters, Mrs. John (Leila) Stoll of West Plains, Mo.; Mrs. Claude (Alice) White of Sabetha, Kan. and Mrs. Claude (Evelyn) Sivadge of Greenfield, Iowa. Three grandchildren, Stanley, Russell and Carla Kirlin of Rock Springs and one great-granddaughter, Stephanie of Rock Springs also survive.
