Services for Mrs. Anderson Here Friday

Services for Mrs. Leah G. Anderson were held in the Peet Chapel Last Thursday afternoon at 2:00 with Rev. Roger B. Koen in charge.

Mrs. Emerson Bonner and Mrs. A. F. DeCastro sang "Nearer My God To Thee" and "Rock of Ages" with Mrs. J. P. Watson as organist. Pallbearers were: C. E. Marvin, Emerson Bonner, Albert Hoy, Charles Hitshew, Johnnie A. Thon, and Archie Lauer. Burial was in the Lusk Cemetery.

Leah Gertrude Rice, daughter of Henry and Nettie C. Rice, was born in Pleasanton, Kan., March 13, 1879. There she spent her youth and became a member of the Methodist Church. She married Asa Anderson in October 1901 and they were the parents of a son, Lynne Woodson Anderson. They homesteaded northeast of Lance Creek. Mrs. Anderson died of a heart attack at her home in Evanston October 17.

Survivors include her son; two brothers, Clair S. Rice of Compton, Calif., and Jesse L. Rice of Lusk; and several nieces and nephews.
