McAllister Rites Held Here Sat.

Funeral services for Kenneth McAllister, 50, were held from the Peet Chapel in Lusk Saturday at 2:00 o'clock with Orvel Prather, minister of the Church of Christ officiating.

Kenneth S. McAllister, of Gillette, was found dead in his pickup truck April 23, from pneumonia.

Mrs. J.P. Watson was organist. Mrs. Fern Peterson and Mrs. M. Maude Bonner sang "God be with you till we meet again" and the "Old Rugged Cross."

Pall bearers were Neil Grant, Buster Penfield, Ray Jenkins, Dick Heine, Bert Kaper and Alvin Alexander. Burial in Manville Cemetery.

Kenneth S. McAllister, son of James and Cora Carey McAllister, was born May 9, 1912 at Lyons, Nebr.

At four the family moved to the Lance Creek and Jireh area where he spent his boyhood and school days. On July 16, 1937 he was married to Pauline Coen at Hot Springs. She and their infant daughter died January 20, 1938. He entered the Army in 1942 and received three medals for outstanding service for his country.

After his discharge he married, Avis Larson and they were the parents of one daughter, Shirly Mae.

He is survived by his daughter, Shirly Mae McAllister, his mother, Cora Clark of Lyman, Wyo., five brothers; James of Manville, Jim and Harold of Decatur, Neb., Henry Bray of Hot Springs, and Otis McAllister; two sisters; Anne Mae Busselman of Rosalie, Nebr. and Meda Collins of Michigan.
