Elsie Irene Peet

Funeral services for former Wyoming resident Elsie Irene Peet, 91, of Lyons, Kans. were conducted on April 24 at Calvary Baptist Church in Sterling, Kan.

Graveside services were April 27 at the Lusk Cemetery.

She died April 21, at Lyons Hospital in Kansas.

Born Sept. 7, 1912 in Kirtley, she was the daughter of Clyde Allen and Blanche Irene (Russell) Redding and graduated from Neligh High School.

On April 29, 1934 she married Stace Bert Peet in Hot Springs, S. D. He preceded her in death on Oct. 21, 1985, after 51 years of marriage.

She as a schoolteacher and homemaker in Lance Creek and had lived in Casper and Lusk. In 1972 she moved to Lyons. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

Survivors include her daughter, Connie Irene Neumann, and her husband of Sterling; brother Ken Redding of Douglas; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and six-step-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by an infant son, two daughters Barbara and Carol Peet; two brothers Claude and Dale Redding; and three sisters Gladys Martindale, Bernice Farrington and Leona Fernau.

Memorials may be made to Project Nehemiah or the Radio Bible Class, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS. 67501.
