Carol Ann Peterson

Memorial services for Carol Ann Peterson, fondly known as "Punkie", age 59 of Cheyenne, Wyo., will be at 2 p.m. April 10 at First Presbyterian Church in Gillette with the Rev. Joel P. Wright officiating.

A reception will follow at the church.

Ms. Peterson died March 30, 2004, at United Medical Center in Cheyenne, Wyo., of complications from surgery.

She was born March 26, 1945, to James and Viola (Griffith) Edmondson in Lusk, Wyo.

She was the granddaughter of William Wallace Edmondson and Mable Brown Edmondson-Griffith, who was first superintendent of schools in Wyoming and one of the early settlers in the state.

She graduated from Peoria High School in Peoria, Ariz. in 1964.

She later worked at Warren Air Force Base in Cheyenne.

She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She loved driving for Renzenberger in Cheyenne, Wyo.

She is survived by one daughter, Melissa Harter of Gillette, Wyo.; two sons, Joshua Peterson of Gillette, Wyo., and Scott Slack of Springfield, Mo., one brother, Bill Edmondson of Casper, Wyo.; companion Randy Beach of Cheyenne, Wyo.; two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins from the Medicine Bow area.

She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.
