Edward L. Baca dies Thursday

Edward L. Baca, 80, died in the Spencer Hospital last Thursday evening about 6:00. He had had two major operations three years ago from which he recovered remarkably, then began ailing a year ago. He entered the hospital a week before his death.

The body was taken to Denver where private services were held at the Howard Mortuary and burial was in Denver.

He was born June 3, 1882 in Belen, N. Mex., the son of V. M. and Margarita Chaves Baca. The family moved to Albuquerque, N. Mex. several years later where Mr. Baca attended school. In 1900 the family moved to Denver where Mr. Baca attended business college. It was in 1915 that he moved to Lusk.

He is survived by two brothers, Horace L. Baca of Denver, and Alfred C. Baca of Lusk, and a sister, Elizabeth J. Baca of Denver.
