Schuricht Burial in Kansas City

Funeral services for Mrs. Earnest Schuricht were held last Tuesday, Jan. 28 at Richmond, Va., where she died January 28, and interment was in a Kansas City cemetery.

Mrs. Schuricht of the Manville community had died following an operation and short illness. She had been visiting relatives in Philadelphia and Virginia for the past month. She was taken ill suddenly and lived only a few days after entering a hospital.

She was born Hattie Fay Purtle in the Indian Territory of Oklahoma, and was 46 at the time of her death. She was reared and educated in Kansas City. On March 17, 1930, she married Earnest Schuricht and came to Wyoming to make her home. She had lived here continuously since and had a wide circle of friends and acquaintances.

Mrs. Schuricht was a member of the Manville Woman's Club, president of the Keeline American Legion Auxiliary, and a member of the Christian Science Church.

Surviving are her husband, her parents, Thomas Grant Purtle and Mrs. Ella Bailey Purtle; five brothers, Earl B., Warner I., Williams S., Raymond D., and Dale T. Purtle.

Manville feels that it has lost a true Christian personality and friend.
