Services for Glen Bartos Held in Douglas Jan. 28

Funeral services were held last Wednesday, Jan. 28 at 2:00 p.m. at the Stark Chapel in Douglas for Glen Roy Bartos. Mr. Bartos died January 24 at the Converse County Memorial Hospital of cancer. The Rev. Neil Warner officiated. Burial was in the Douglas Park Cemetery.

Casket bearers were Marcus Graves, Bebe Reed, Merwin Schlichting, Harold Schellinger, Bill Schellinger and Don Sullivan.

Honorary bearers were George Cross, John Ryan, Art Sims, Art Horr, Justin Werner, Earl Castle, Harry Johnson, Earl York, Tom Curtin, Burl Jones, Walt Murphy, Allen Swan, Otto Reolf, Otto Bolin and Lee Bryson.

Glen, the eldest son of Joseph and Minnie Bartos, was born October 31, 1908 near Hemingford, Neb. In 1914 he came with his family to their homestead northwest of Keeline.

He married Lolo Ruhl October 31, 1929 and they were the parents of six children.

Survivors include his widow, Lolo, of the family home; three sons, Bill of Casper, Bob of Tyrone, PA, Dick, a Marine stationed in Okinawa; two daughters, Mrs. James (Dorothy) Ryan of Worland and Mrs. Delbe (Mic) Solari of Woodbridge, VA; his father, Joe Bartos of Michael Manor Home in Douglas; one brother, Floyd of Keeline; two sisters, Mrs. James (Ethel) Church of Millbrae, Calif., and Merle Jennings of Glendora, Calif., 27 grandchildren and one great-grandson.

One infant son and his mother died recently.
