Funeral services for Benjamin F. Wolfe, 81, of Lusk, were held at 2 p.m. Monday, May 4, 1992, in the Bader-Peet Mortuary Chapel in Lusk with Rev. Allen Kallenbach officiating. Burial followed in the Lusk Cemetery.

Wolfe died Wednesday, April 29, 1992, at the Niobrara County Memorial Hospital in Lusk. He was born Oct. 12, 1910, in Marion County, Kan., where he was raised and educated. He came to Wyoming in 1930 and filed on a homestead 40 miles north of Lusk. He also worked on various ranches in the area.

He married Rose Hitchcock on Oct. 6, 1934, in Hot Springs, S.D., and they moved to Lusk in 1937. He worked in the auto industry for 20 years until 1957 when they moved to Casper where he was employed by the state of Wyoming. They were transferred back to Lusk in 1966 and he retired from the state in 1976.

Wolfe was a member of the Congregational Church and a longtime member of the Elks' Lodge in Lusk. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, two sisters and one grandson.

Survivors include his wife Rose of Lusk; one son Sheridan Wolfe of Casper; one daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Ted Pennington of Lost Springs, Wyo.; one granddaughter, three grandsons, three great-granddaughters and three great-grandsons.

For those who wish, memorials to the Elks' Lodge or the Congregational Church in Lusk would be appreciated by the family.
