Lewis T. "Cye" Bonner

Funeral services for Lewis T. "Cye" Bonner, age 83, were held Tuesday, April 12, at the Bader Funeral Home in Lusk with Rev. Frank Bozart officiating. Burial was in the Lusk Cemetery.

Mr. Bonner died Saturday evening, April 9, at the Niobrara County Memorial Nursing Home in Lusk. He was born September 1, 1910, in Imperial, Nebraska, the son of Emery and Amelia Bonner. In May of 1937 he married Eugenia Moore in Westcliffe, Colorado. Shortly thereafter they moved to Lusk. Eugenia died in 1954 and in August of 1962, Cye married Alyce Norman and they continued to reside in Lusk.

Cye worked as a painter most of his life, having painted many of the houses in Lusk at on time or another.

In addition to his first wife Eugenia, he was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Swede and Emerson, one sister, Mable, and his son, Ted.

Survivors include his wife Alyce; a daughter Nondace Motsenbocker, a step-son Ron Norman, one sister, June McIntosh, one brother, Harry Bonner, five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren plus many other relatives and friends.

For those who wish, memorials to either the Nursing Home or to the Lusk Senior Center will be appreciated by the family.
