Jerrie Lynn Kant Cassinat

Jerrie Lynn Kant Cassinat, age 48, of Riverton died June 14, 1995, at the Wind River Health Care Center in Riverton. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held in Riverton on Friday, June 23, at the Methodist Church at 2 p.m. A memorial service will be held in Lance Creek Monday, June 26, at the Lance Creek Community Church at 2 p.m.

Jerrie was born July 13, 1946, in Douglas to Walt and Susan (Borner) Kant. She graduated from Lusk High School in 1964, and received her Bachelor of Science degree in English in 1968 from Chadron State College in Chadron, Neb. After college she moved to Lander where she taught high school English for five years, before moving to Riverton where she lived for the last 20 years. Jerrie and her husband, Joe, have operated Cassinat's Music Store in Riverton since 1976. She enjoyed craft work, gardening, and collecting cookbooks.

She is survived by her husband, Joe of Riverton; her parents, Walt and Susan Kant of Lance Creek; three brothers, Michael Kant of Hubbard, Ore., Bill Kant of Chadron, Neb., and Pat Kant of Lance Creek; a special care giver, Florence Boardman of Mesa, Ariz.; several aunts and uncles, and a very special love for sixteen grandchildren and their parents.

The family has requested donations be made to the American Cancer Society in her name.

Hudson's Funeral Home of Lander, and Davis Funeral Home of Riverton are in charge of arrangements.
