Funeral Services For D. S. Tallman Held Here Sunday

Funeral services were held from the chapel of Peet Mortuary Sunday at 2:00 p. m. for Darius S. Tallman, 91, who died at the Spencer Hospital at 4:00 p. m. August 6.

The Rev. Clyde M. Spaulding, pastor of the Church of Christ of this city, officiated at the funeral services. Mrs. Clyde Spaulding, Mrs. Lafe F. Culver, Jr. sang, "What a Friend We Have in Jesus," and "We are Going Down the Valley." Mrs. Spaulding provided the chapel organ music.

Burial was made in the Lusk cemetery with the following acting as casket bearers; Fred Bryant, James Hoblit, R.V. Pfister, Francis Church, Robert Taylor and C.E. Marvin.

Darius S. Tallman was born in Davenport, Iowa July 18, 1862 the son of Darius B. and Emaline Smith Tallman. He came to live in the home of his brother, the late Harris Tallman, in 1912 and had resided with this family until his death.

He is survived by one sister, Mrs. C. 0. Freeman of Neligh, Nebr.; two brothers, Jud Tallman of Palo Alto, Calif. and Walter Tallman of Evanston; one sister-in-law, Mrs. Laura Tallman of Lusk; large number of nieces and nephews. Two brothers and three sisters preceded him in death.
