Services for Fred A, Bertram will be held Thursday, December 24, 1987 at 2:00 p.m. at Peet Mortuary Chapel. A complete obituary will appear in next week's Lusk Herald.

Services for Fred August Bertram were held Thursday, December 24 at Peet Mortuary Chapel. Rev. Marvin Temme officiated. Burial service followed at Lusk Cemetery.

Mr. Bertram, age 94, died early Tuesday morning at the VA Hospital in Hot Springs, South Dakota. He was born December 10, 1893, near Brunswick, NE, the son of Henry and Emilie Bertram.

Fred was raised in Nebraska and served with the Army during WWI. He married Hazel Marie Mills on April 16, 1921, and together they moved to Wyoming, homesteading north of Lance Creek.

He began working in the oilfields in 1934 for Argo and Ohio Oil Companies and after retiring in 1965, he moved to a ranch four miles west of Lusk.

Fred was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and was a member of Wieten-Dupes Post #4 of the American Legion.

He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and one sister.

Survivors include: his wife, Hazel, of Lusk; daughter, Violet Boatright, of Lusk, two granddaughters, Terry Brown, of Lusk and Cindy Olson of Malta, Montana; six great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorials to the American Heart Association would be appreciated by the family.

Peet Mortuary was in charge of the arrangements.
