August Herzog Dies at Casper

August F. Herzog, 70, died at the Memorial Hospital in Casper on Monday, Nov. 28, following a short illness.

He is a brother-in-law of Mrs. Delia Grant of this community, and of W.S. Grant of Boxelder, Wyo., and of Theron S. Grant of Casper, but formerly of Lusk.

Born in Germany, Mr. Herzog came to the United States when he was four years old and the family settled in Iowa.

In 1914 he was married to Gertrude Frances Grant in Iowa and in 1925 the couple moved to Wyoming, locating at Glenrock, where he operated a dairy for 14 years.

The Herzogs moved to Casper in 1941, where he has been employed as a carpenter since that time.

Besides his widow, he in survived by four sisters and two brothers.

Funeral services will be conducted in Glenrock at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 1st.
