Mrs. Mantha A. Blair

Like a thief in the night the death angel stole into the home of Mrs. Arthur L. Blair and snatched away the wife and mother.

Mrs. Blair's maiden name was Hart. She was the daughter of William and Mary Hart and was born in Cumberland County, Ill., July 18, 1868. Departed this life Sunday morning March 8, 1925, aged 56 years, 5 months and 20 days.

On Jan. 3, 1894 she was united in marriage to Arthur L. Blair at Longs Island, Kan. To this union were born thirteen children, ten of whom survive her: Cyrus C. Blair of Kaycee, Wyo,; Harry L. Blair, Fort Laramie, Wyo.; Mrs. Florence O. Harris of Jay Em, Wyo.; Percy C. Blair of Kansas City, Mo.; Fred V. Blair of Bakersfield, CAL.; and Mary V., Myrtle E., Artie H., Ruth E. and E. Isabelle of Torrington.

Besides the above there remains to mourn their loss four brothers and three sisters: Chas. Hart, Britton, Okla.; Daniel Hart, Boone, Iowa; Thomas Hart, Kansas City, Mo.; John Hart, Tacoma, Wash.; Myrtle McRill, Oklahoma City, Okla.; and the Misses Ethel and Cynthia Hart of Seattle, Wash., besides four granchildren.

Ten years of their married life Mr. and Mrs. Blair spent in Oklahoma. They migrated to Wyoming in 1904. They lived near Lusk, Wyo., until 1911 when they moved into the Torrington neighborhood.
