Eric Israelson, Resident of County for More Than Forty Years, Passes Away in Lusk Sunday Evening; Funeral Tuesday

Old-Time Resident Is Claimed at Age of 78 Years

Eric Israelson, 78 years of age, passed away Sunday evening at the Manring Home. Death was attributed to the infirmities of old age.

Mr. Israelson had been a resident of this vicinity for about 10 years. He was born in Sweden, September 21, 1858, and came to America when about 25 years of age.

Coming to Wyoming, he located in the Hat Creek community, where he was a highly respected citizen. He helped on various sheep outfits in this part of the State, and was reliable and trustworthy.

About five ago he suffered a stroke and has been in poor health since that time. Three years ago he entered the Manring Home, where he has since been cared for, and was ill in bed several weeks prior to his death.

He is survived by one sister in Sweden; a brother who lived in Colorado died a few years ago.

Funeral services were held from the Peet Mortuary on Tuesday afternoon, with Rev. George Jenkins officiating. Music was rendered by the male quartet composed of J. M. Hungate, Ford Kuns, O. P. Harnagel and George Jenkins.

The pallbearers were Hans Meng, Al Bryant, Len Christian, Dudley Fields, Fred Root and John Cordell.

Burial was made in the Lusk Cemetery, and funeral arrangements were in charge of the Peet Mortuary.
