Mrs. Caroline Foster, 80, passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Charles Lund of Node, Sunday morning, Dec. 11. Funeral services were held from the Congregational Church Wednesday afternoon with Rev. E. F. Erwin officiating.

Well-Known Resident of Node Succumbs as Result of Fall Received Two Months Ago

Mrs. Caroline Foster, 80 years old, affectionately known as "Grandma" Foster, passed away last Sunday morning, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Charles Lund, at Node.

Funeral services were held in the Congregational Church Wednesday afternoon, December 14, Rev. Edwin F. Irwin officiating. Interment was made in the Lusk Cemetery, arrangements being in charge of the Peet Mortuary.

Caroline Degrass was born at Apple River, Ill., May 19, 1852. She grew to womanhood there and was married to John L. McDonald in 1869. In 1897 she moved to Colorado, where Mr. McDonald passed away.

Later Mrs. McDonald moved to Deadwood, S.D. There she was united in marriage in 1912 to Joshua Foster. Shortly afterward they went to Canada, where Mr. Foster died.

Mrs. Foster then came to make her home with her daughter, Mrs. Lund, at whose home she passed away on Sunday morning, December 11, at the age of 80 years.

She leaves three children, Earl McDonald, Velma, Canada; Mrs. Christensen, Casper, Wyo.; Mrs. Charles Lund, Lusk, Wyo.; one sister, Mrs. John Oliver, Apple River, Ill.; one brother, Laurence De Grass, of Des Moines, Iowa. Two children preceded her in death.

Mrs. Foster joined the Methodist Episcopal Church when a young woman.

About two months ago she sustained a severe fall, breaking her hip, which ultimately caused her death.
