Bea Carpenter Dies Saturday
The funeral for Mary Beatrice Carpenter was Tuesday at the Peet Mortuary Chapel. The Rev. Frank Bozart presided. Mrs. Carpenter died Oct. 22, 1977 at the Presbyterian Hospital in Denver.
She was born May 29, 1923 at Berwick, Nova Scotia, the daughter of Fred and Elizabeth Sullivan. In 1924 her family moved to the United States, first living in Massachusetts and then settling in Farmington, N. H. where she received her education.
She moved to Lusk in 1953 and to Powell in 1973. In 1975 she returned to Lusk. She was married to Donald Robert Carpenter Nov. 13, 1955. Mrs. Carpenter was a member of the Manville Community Church.
Survivors are: two daughters Dianne Allen, Dodge City, Kan., and Judy Weeks, Lusk; one son, Bob Carpenter, Powell; four sisters, Genevieve Connacher, Devon, Conn., Lila Langis, Lusk, Judy Jennewein, Casper, and Linda Bayne, Manville; two brothers Fred Sullivan, Manville, and James Sullivan, Rio Linda, Calif. Five grandchildren also survive.
She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.
Pallbearers were Ray Taylor, Norman Brillhart, William Dockery, Howard Haworth, Tom Rea and Terry Griffith.
Organist was Edna DeCastro and Mark Lohr was the soloist. Songs were "Just As I Am," and "Amazing Grace."
Burial was at the Lusk Cemetery. Memorials may be sent to the cancer fund.
