Rozetta C. Jordan

Rozetta "Rozettie" C. Jordan, 83, died Nov. 23, 2009, at Columbine Care Center West in Fort Collins, Colo. Graveside services were held at 11 a.m., Friday, Dec. 4, 2009, at Lusk Cemetery in Lusk, Wyo., with Pastor David Shaner officiating.

She was born Jan. 7, 1926, in Crawford, Neb., one of seven children of Robert and Elsie (Rodgers) Packard.

Rozettie married Ralph E. Jordan on Nov. 19, 1941, in Harrison, Nebr. They lived in various communities, with a majority of their time spent in Lusk, Wyo., and Cheyenne, Wyo. Ralph died on Sept. 14, 1996, and Rozettie remained in Cheyenne until Jan. of 2004, when she was moved to Columbine Care Center West in Fort Collins.

Rozettie was a deeply devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She is survived by her sons, Warren and his wife Trudy Jordan, and James Jordan, all of Cheyenne; grandchildren and their spouses, Tamra Jordan and Craig Maynard of Houston, Tex., Traci and K.C. Valentine of Maple Valley, Wash., Tina and Scott Bates and Thomas and JoLyn Jordan of Cheyenne; great-grandchildren, Orion and Miranda Maynard of Houston, Quinn and Sydney Valentine of Maple Valley, Kayli Jordan, Kora Horton, Gavyn Bates, Dylan Bates, Samantha and Ralph (RJ) Jordan all of Cheyenne; two brothers, one sister, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Rozettie was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph; her parents; two brothers; and one sister.

In lieu of flowers, friends may donate to a charity of choice, or Hospice of Larimer County, 305 Carpenter Road, Fort Collins, CO 80538.

Arrangements are under Pier Funeral Home in Lusk.
