Hugh Gunn, 89, of Sheridan passed away on Saturday, July 28, 2012 at his home.

He was born in Lusk, Wyo. on December 16, 1922. He served as a pilot in the Army Air Corp during WWII and was a member of the Air Force Reserves. He married Virginia E. Price on June 16, 1948 in Worland, Wyo.

Hugh worked for the Christianson Diamond Products, an oil field service company which took them to numerous locations in Wyoming, Montana, Utah and Alberta, Canada. They retired in 1982 in Salt Lake City, Utah. They moved to Sheridan in 1990.

Hugh is survived by his wife of 64 years, Virginia; his daughter, Carol Lyle, of Idaho Falls, Idaho; his son George (Jennette) Gunn of Sheridan, Wyo.; daughter, Patricia (Mike) Goodin of Canyon City, Colo.; and seven grandchildren.

Services with full Military Honors will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, August 1, 2012 at Kane Funeral Home with Reverend Kevin Jones officiating. A reception will follow in the Kane Reception Hall.
