Artie H. Crane

Graveside services for Artie H. Crane, 80, of Brookings, OR, were held in White City, OR. Burial was in the White City national Cemetery.

Crane was born in the family home near Lusk, Sept. 1, 1906.

She and her family moved to a farm near Torrington in 1912. She finished her education in Torrington and Canon City, CO.

In 1930 she went to Los Angeles where she was a secretary and champion figure skater.

Crane married in 1944. They lived in Alaska and the Panama Canal Zone Before moving to Brookings, OR, where they made their home. Her husband died in 1979.

She is survived by two sisters, Florence Harris of Jay Em, Ruth Johnson of Twin Falls, ID, and Ason Janes Crane of Huntington Beach, CA; a daughter, Yvonne Slogh of Willits, CA, and five grandchildren.

She was preceeded in death by her parents, her husband, an infant son, five brothers and four sisters.
