J. A. Fegley Dies in Lander Saturday

J. A. Fegley, Lander, brother-in-law of Mrs. Mary Scace and Mrs. Edna Petz and former Lusk resident, died unexpectedly in Lander Saturday morning of a heart attack.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday in Lander. Other details were not available at the Herald's press time Wednesday.

Funeral for James Fegley Held Jan. 30

Funeral services for James A. Fegley, who died in Lander January 27, were held at the Darr Funeral home in Lander January 30 with the Rev. Homer Crisman in charge. Burial was in the Mt. Hope Cemetery.

Mr. Fegley was born in West Point, Nebr., July 23, 1890 and attended grade school and high school there. He started working for the telephone company in West Point in 1906 as a lineman, later becoming construction foreman.

He married Lucille Scace in 1915 and they homesteaded near Lusk for six years. Moving to Riverton, Mr. Fegley became manager of the telephone company, a position he held until 1926 when he became manager of the Mountain States Tel. and Tel. Company in Lander. He retired in 1946 because of ill health. Mr. Fegley had been very active in civic affairs. After he retired he served as deputy sheriff for three years and taught crafts and shop work at the State Training School.

He is survived by his wife, a brother and five sisters.

Mrs. Edna Petz and her daughter, Mrs. Greta Alexander of Casper attended the services. Mr. Fegley was a brother-in-law of Mrs. Petz and Mrs. Mary Scace.
